According to her, remuneration of Junior Resident (P.G.) Doctor was revised vide Govt. Order dated 21.11.2015 and thereafter some amendment was made in the said Govt. Order by a subsequent Govt. Order dated 14.9.2016. Since benefit of these Govt. Orders were not given to the petitioner, therefore, she filed this writ petition seeking the following reliefs: “i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the arrears of the petitioner in tune with Government order no. 2108/XXVIII(1)/2016/Writ-46/2016 dated 14.09.2016. ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the arrears to the petitioner w.e.f. 21.11.2015 without any further delay.” (3) Since petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus and has also made representation to the competent authority to grant her the benefit of revised remuneration, we think that ends of justice would be met if the competent authority is directed to examine the 2025:UHC:4500-DB matter in the light of applicable government policies. (4) Accordingly, we dispose of the writ petition with direction to Principal, Govt. Medical College, Haldwani to consider the representation made by petitioner, which is contained in Annexure-4 to the writ petition, and take decision thereupon within eight weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
