ORAL ORDER
1. The petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a) “Issue a writ in the nature of certiorari and quash the demand notice dated 01.04.2019 bearing No.TA/09/2019 issued by the second respondent produced as per Annexure-AK and the notice dated 15.05.2019 bearing No. DGM/TA/ 130/ 2019-20 issued by the second respondent produced as Annexure-AL to the writ petition; b) Declare that the demand of the respondents to pay interest on the delayed payment of annual service charges and delayed renewal period as arbitrary, illegal and contrary to law; c) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to renew the lease of two acres of land comprised in Sy. Nos.62, 70, 71 and 72 of Hutha village, Bhadravathi Taluk by executing a regular registered lease deed without insisting for payment of interest on the delayed payment annual service charges and for delay in renewal of lease;

d) Issue any other appropriate writ or order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems it appropriate in the admitted facts and circumstances of the case in the interest of justice; e) Pass such other suitable orders as this Hon'ble court deems it appropriate in the attendant circumstances and facts of the case; f) Award the cost of this proceeding.”
2. A memo dated 16.07.2025 signed by the learned counsel for the petitioners has been filed, which reads as under:
“In view of the settlement arrived between the parties the petitioner in the above writ petition does not intend to prosecute the above writ petition. Hence, the writ petition may be dismissed as withdrawn by allowing this memo in the interest of justice.”
3. Accepting the said memo and the submission of
learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
