Since the final report not filed within the time prescribed, the above contempt petition is filed to take action against the respondent for not filing the final report in time. 2. The Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent respondent has filed counter-affidavit stating that there was delay in completing the investigation and therefore, final report could not be filed within the time prescribed. However, after re-examination of the defacto complainant and other witnesses, the final report filed before the Judicial Magistrate-II, Chengalpattu, on 10.04.2025 and same taken on file as C.C.No.316 of 2024 on 23.09.2025. Summons issued to the accused for appearance on 23.10.2025. 3.
