In this petition, the petitioner has called in question the notification dated 07.10.2024 issued by respondent No.4 at Annexure-J. 2. The petitioner is working as an outsourced Lecturer in BBMP PU College. Three backlog posts of Kannada Lecturers under the Schedule Tribe (ST) Category in BBMP were not filled up. Therefore, the respondent No.4 issued a notification dated 07.10.2024 vide Annexure-J to fill up the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:36016 WP No. 16694 of 2025 said backlog posts. The impugned notification is specifically issued for filling up backlog vacancies reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe Category and it is not a notification for General recruitment. If any notification is issued for general recruitment and if the petitioner is otherwise eligible, she can file an application. 3. However, since the petitioner belongs to Schedule Caste (SC) category, she is not eligible to apply for the said posts notified under Annexure-J, which are exclusively reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates. 4. In light of the above, this Court is of the considered opinion that no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the present petition. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. Sd/- (H.T.
