According to petitioner, he was granted a licence for retail sale of country liquor at Village Jeevangarh, Block Vikas Nagar, District Dehradun for the Financial Year 2025-26. According to him, there are certain individuals, who are not permitting the petitioner to run the business of retail sale of country liquor and they are holding agitation, demonstration etc. in front of the shop, due to which, petitioner‘s business is badly affected and he is not able to deposit the minimum monthly guarantee duty, which every licencee is required to deposit with the Excise Department. Various other grievances have been raised by the petitioner in this writ petition. 4. Learned State Counsel assures that necessary steps shall be taken to ensure that no untoward incident occurs near the shop. 5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun to ensure that no Demonstration, Agitation etc. is held within 200 meters of the liquor shop belonging to the petitioner.
