1. The contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 12.01.2024 passed in CWP-1815-
2019.
2. The relevant para of order dated 12.01.2024 is reproduced as under:-
“6. Since the respondents themselves has realized the mistake and granted retrospective promotion to the petitioner from 01.04.2005 i.e. the date her junior was promoted as Senior Assistant, he would also be entitled to consequential consideration for promotion on the higher post on which her junior was promoted. Since, the petitioner was in regular service as on 31.12.2013 i.e. the date on which her junior was promoted to the post of Superintendent Grade-II, the petitioner too has a right for
consideration of her case for promotion from the said date on the post of Superintendent Grade-II. If the petitioner’s service record is clean, the respondents would consider her case for promotion accordingly and grant MOHD AYUB 2025.09.26 16:58 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.
COCP-4099-2025 -2- her all consequential benefits. If the petitioner is found suitable for promotion, she would also be entitled to arrears on account of revision of pay as well as her pension and in such eventuality, the entire exercise shall be completed within three months.”
3. Learned State counsel contends that in compliance of order dated 12.01.2024, speaking order dated 23.09.2025, has been passed. Copy of the same has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner and also placed on record.
4. A perusal of speaking order dated 23.09.2025 shows that order dated 12.01.2024 passed in CWP-1815-2019 has been complied with. This fact is not disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. In view of the above, contempt is purged and rule is discharged. September 25th, 2025
