Petitioner No.2 and respondent No.2 were wife and husband. Disharmony between them resulted in filing of divorce proceedings as well as criminal cases by both of them against each other and their respective families. It is now submitted that the parties have arrived at a compromise and it - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:40623 CRL.P No. 12913 of 2023 has resulted in divorce being granted and also withdrawal of the criminal cases and other cases filed by the wife against the husband. The present criminal petition pertains to the private complaint filed by respondent no.2 - husband against petitioner No.2-wife, and the other petitioners, who are her relatives. The filing of the private complaint has resulted in FIR being registered by way of Crime No.387/2023 on the file of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bangalore Rural District (Ramanagara). 2. The parties are present before the Court and submit that in the light of a compromise entered into between them, respondent No.2 is not interested in prosecuting the case against the petitioners herein. The parties are identified by their respective advocates. 3. Both the counsel for the petitioners as well as respondent No.2 together submit that the allegations have been made by respondent No.2 against petitioners were more out of vengeance than out of reality, which has resulted in Crime No.387/2023 being registered against the petitioners. It is submitted that the allegations are far from truth. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:40623 CRL.P No. 12913 of 2023 4. Learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1, upon instructions, submits that the investigation conducted sofar does not reveal anything and no incriminating evidence is found against the petitioners herein and he has no objection to quash the proceedings. 5. Admittedly, the criminal proceedings have been initiated against the petitioners due to a marital conflict between petitioner No.2 and respondent No.2. They have arrived at a compromise. It is apparent that no heinous crime is committed by the petitioners, as alleged. The quashing of the case will only help the petitioners and respondent No.2 to lead their lives respectfully with peace of mind. Further, the learned HCGP upon instructions has submitted that no material has been found against the petitioners herein. Under the said circumstances, I am of the opinion that it is a fit case to quash the proceedings against the petitioners. 6. Hence, the following:- ORDER i. The proceedings initiated by way of Crime No.387/2023 on the file of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru Rural District, Bengaluru, against the petitioners herein, are hereby quashed. iii.
