The case of the petitioner is that he filed application for inspection of abadi map of village Gohaniya, earlier falling in District- Basti, now in District- Siddharth Nagar, but it is reported to be missing. 2. The petitioner approached the Commissioner of the Division as the matter relates to two districts with prayer to make available the relevant map to petitioner and if the same is not traceable, to get it reconstructed. However, no heed has been paid to the same. 3. The prayer made in the instant petition is for direction to respondent no.2 i.e. Commissioner, Basti Mandal, Basti to take decision on the application of the petitioner dated 18.07.2025. 4. Shri Rajeev Gupta, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel fairly states that respondent no.2 will examine the grievance of the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2 to ensure that the relevant map is traced out, or in case the same is not available, to hold inquiry and take appropriate action against person responsible for misplacing it, and in such an event, also got the same re-constructed, in accordance with law.
