Having heard learned counsel for parties, this much is only that petitioner's application seeking exemption from payment of road tax of vehicle bearing registration number U.P. 96 T 2673 for the period 28.11.2022 to 30.04.2025 filed before respondent Nos. 2 and 3 on 27.05.2025, through post (Annexure-5) has remained pending. 2. In view of such facts, no useful purpose will be served by keeping this petition pending and calling for counter affidavit, at this stage as the original authority vested with jurisdiction in terms of Section 12 of U.P. Motor vehicle Taxation Act, 1997 read with Rules framed thereunder, is yet to pass an order on the application filed by the petitioner. 3. Accordingly writ petition is disposed of with the direction that subject to the filing of a copy of this order before respondent No.3 within a period of two weeks from today, the said authority may pass final reasoned order on the application, as expeditiously as possible preferably on or before 30.11.2025.
