This present civil writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the impugned Office Memorandum dated 08.05.2023 (Annexure P-10), whereby the cut-off date of 28.10.2005 has been prescribed for determining the eligibility of the petitioners for coverage under the Old Pension Scheme, being allegedly arbitrary, illegal, unconstitutional and having no nexus with the object sought to be achieved, as well as being contrary to the spirit of the Office Memorandum dated 03.03.2023 issued by the Government of India (Annexure P-9), which has been adopted mutatis mutandis by the respondent-State.
