Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioner named above has been made accused in connection with R.C. 6(S)/2020-EOW- R (corresponding to RC0932018S0010, CBI, EOW – Ranchi) for the offence registered under Section 120B r/w 420 IPC and Sections 13(2) r/w 13(1) (c) (d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, pending in the court of Spl. Judge-II CBI (Other than AHD SCAM Cases), Ranchi.
Earlier the prayer for bail of this petitioner was rejected by this Court on merit. However, vide order dated 10.05.2024 passed in B.A. No. 2212 of 2024, this Court given direction to the Trial Court to conclude the trial within nine months.
Prayer for bail of the petitioner is being renewed on the ground that more than nine months have elapsed but the trial has not been concluded, as out of 69 charge-sheeted witnesses, only three have been examined so far.
Mr. Prashant Pallav, learned Spl. P.P., appearing for the CBI, has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the petitioner has two criminal antecedents and his bail was earlier rejected by this Court on merit and no new ground has been taken in the bail application.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Court below.
