Chamanbhai Chhaganbhai Thakor has filed this petition contending that his daughter Jyotsana, aged about 22 years, is missing, and it is also averred that in all probability, she is illegally confined by respondent Nos. 5 to 8 and therefore, is required to be set at liberty. 2. The Police Inspector, AHTU, Patan, has filed an affidavit-in-reply in which the steps taken for tracing Jyotsana have been elaborately stated. R/SCR.A/2907/2025 ORDER DATED: 13/11/2025 3. It is forthcoming from this affidavit that the investigating authority has contacted the family and friends of the respondent No. 5, who is also missing, and despite their best efforts, they have been unable to trace him. It is also forthcoming from the affidavit that Jyotsana has, in all probability, eloped with the respondent No. 5 and she is not under the illegal custody of respondent No. 6 to 8. 4. In view of the fact that there is no credible evidence to indicate that the Jyotsana is under the illegal detention of any of the respondents, in our view, no useful purpose would be served by pursuing this writ petition. 5. It is made clear that the direction however, issued to the authorities to investigate further and ensure that Jyotsana and respondent No. 5 are traced as early as possible. 6.
