1. Subject matter of this writ petition is a contract work viz. 100 Ha CAMPA Afforestation (Artificial regeneration) Plantation. By a tender dated 30.01.2021, bids were invited online for the said contract works. The petitioner participated in the said contract work and it was his case that he was successful and at the time of issuance of work order, the aforesaid contract was cancelled. Accordingly, this writ petition was filed. 2. The Forest Department has submitted a communication dated 18.12.2021 issued by the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest addressed to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Wild Life, Assam and others seeking a permission to carry out the said plantation work departmentally under CAMPA from REG. 3. It is the further case of the respondent that in the meantime, the aforesaid

In view of the aforesaid, in the considered opinion of this court, nothing survives to be adjudicated in the present case inasmuch as there no interim order was passed by this court while issuing notice of motion. 5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed. 6. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he had suffered huge financial loss in participating the tender, he should therefore, be compensated. 7.
If that be so, the petitioner shall always be at liberty to approach the appropriate forum seeking damages and compensation as permissible in law. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
