Learned counsel appearing for respondents submits that the detenu was detained under the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act vide Detention Order No. 45/DMK/PSA/2022 dated 25.06.2022 for his activities prejudicial to the Security of State.
The maximum period of detention under the Act is of two years, which period has already expired. Therefore, this writ petition has become infructuous and is, accordingly disposed of.
