The only prayer made by counsel for the petitioner is to direct the respondent no.2-Sub Divisional Magistrate/Licensing Authority, Prayagraj, Tehsil-Karchhana, district-Prayagraj to pass appropriate orders on the application submitted by the petitioner for renewable of his fire-arm license, which is pending since 06.02.2024. 2. It is argued by counsel for the petitioner that on the aforesaid application reports were also submitted by the authorities but till date no decision has been taken in the matter. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State and perused the records. 4. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, present writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage itself. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case, present petition is disposed of finally directing the respondent no.2 to decide the aforesaid application strictly in accordance with law most expeditiously and preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order unless there is no legal impediment.
