JUSTICE S SUNIL DUTT YADAV ORAL ORDER Petitioner has sought for issuance of writ of mandamus to the respondents to grant 5 acres of land in any appropriate survey numbers of Anathi Village or in neighbouring villages of Channarayapattana Taluk, Hassan District. 2. It is noticed that the petitioner has made representations, copies of which are enclosed at Annexures-B, C and D. It is submitted that though the said - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:40820 WP No. 12272 of 2022 representations have been submitted, no final decision has been taken on the representations / applications. 3. Learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the said representations / applications would be considered by the Deputy Commissioner taking note of the legal mandate and power conferred under the Karnataka Land Grant Rules, and in specific, Rules 2 to 6 of the Karnataka Land Grant Rules, 1969 strictly as per law. 4. In light of the said submission, the Deputy Commissioner to pass an order as regards the applications / representations of the petitioner at Annexures-B, C and D as per law within a period not later than 1 year from today. Needless to state the applications of the petitioner are to be considered according to the seniority after determining the pending applications of persons similarly situated. It is open for the Government to expedite consideration within prescribed period.
