The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers:- “(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus whereby directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to contest Panchayat Election 2025 for B.D.C. member seat, Banbasa-1, in Gram Sabha Banbasa, District Champawat, and further to include her name in the Panchayat Electoral Roll 2025 of Gram Sabha Banbasa, District Champawat. (ii) Issue any such other writ, order or direction which this Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case.” 2. Heard Mr. Yogesh Pant, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Sanjay Bhatt, learned counsel for the respondents. 3. Mr. Yogesh Pant, Advocate has requested to decide the present writ petition directing the Assistant 1 2025:UHC:5725 Election Officer/Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tanakpur, District Champawat to decide the representation of the petitioner prior to the last date of filling up of the nomination form and for the said purpose, the petitioner shall move her representation today itself. 4. With the consent of both the parties, the present Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction that if the petitioner moves her representation, as prayed, the Assistant Election Officer/Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tanakpur, District Champawat shall decide the same prior to the last date of filling up of the nomination form, but in accordance with law. 5.
