(2) This writ petition was filed in 2014 seeking the following reliefs: “I. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the Uttarakhand PCS-Mains Examination-2010 result, declared on 2.02.2014, annexed as Annexure no. 2 to the petition and notification/publication dated 13.2.2014 calling for interview only 368 candidates against 200 posts. II. issue an appropriate writ order or direction to the respondent no. 1 to prepare the result of Uttarakhand PCS (Mains) Examination 2010, as per the provisions of Uttarakhand Lok Seva Aayog Pariksha Parinam Nirman Parikirya Niyamawali, 2012 and call for interview and consider for selection, three times the candidates in each category/sub category as required under law. III. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1 to fill the post of Rajya Andolankari reservation quota from suitable candidates.” (3) Mr. Pankaj Miglani, learned Counsel appearing for Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, makes a statement at the bar that reliefs as claimed in the writ petition do not survive and writ petition has become infructuous by efflux of time. (4) We find substance in the submission made by Mr. Miglani. Since writ petition was filed challenging result of Uttarakhand PCS (Mains) Examination- 2010, therefore, relief claimed by the petitioner cannot be granted at this belated stage.
