(ORAL) The prayer in the present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus seeking issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect life and liberty of the petitioners as they apprehended danger at the hands of private respondents. Mr. Harjinder Singh, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent Nos.10 to 14 and has filed his power of attorney. The same is taken on record. A reply dated 16.08.2025 by way of an affidavit of Harjit Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Banga, SBS Nagar has been filed on behalf of the State by the learned counsel for the State. The same is taken on record. CRWP-8337-2025 -2- regarding their respective shares in a property and multiple complaints have been moved against each other. Proceedings under 126/169 of BNSS (107/150 of Cr.P.C.) were initiated against them. Apparently, the petitioners do not face any threat at the hands of the private respondents at this stage. However, if they face threat in future, they are at liberty to approach appropriate authority when necessary steps would be taken in accordance with law.
