Petitioners have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, seeking direction to respondents to take an appropriate action for stopping illegal collection of funds from the members of the petitioner - union and others in the name of fee under the Provisions of the Punjab Cattle Fairs (Regulation) Act, 1967. Further prayer has been made to direct respondents to take an action on the BRIJ MOHAN 2025.08.06 18:12 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment. A perusal of the petition shows that in para No.8 of the writ petition, petitioners have pleaded that the Government of Punjab has leased out the rights to hold cattle markets and to charge fee. However, the writ petition has been filed without impleading the said contractor. 3. At this stage, counsel for the petitioner seeks and is granted permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh one by impleading all the necessary parties and by giving better particulars. 4.
