(Oral) By way of present contempt petition, prayer has been made on behalf of the petitioner for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for their having willfully and intentionally disobeyed the directions contained in order/judgment dated 27.12.2024, rendered in CWP No.14764 of 2024, whereby Coordinate Bench of this Court, while disposing of the petition, directed the respondents to decide the representation of the petitioner in light of averments made therein within a period of eight weeks. Since despite there being aforesaid direction, no steps, whatsoever, came to be taken at the behest of the respondents for doing the needful, petitioner has approached this Court in the instant proceedings. 2. Mr. Deepak Sharma, Advocate, while putting in appearance on behalf of the respondents, has placed on record 2 communication dated 03.04.2025 issued under the signatures of Managing Director, HRTC, Shimla, states that mandate contained in the judgment, alleged to have been violated, stands duly complied with. 3. Having perused aforesaid communication, which is taken on record, this Court finds that HRTC, after having considered the case of the petitioner in light of judgments passed in CWP No. 14764 of 2024 and CWP No. 3278 of 2021 & Review Petition No. 99 of 2023, has enhanced the DR/IR from due date. As per aforesaid communication, arrears on account of aforesaid relief shall be paid within a period of one week. In view of aforesaid compliance, no action of the respondents can be said to be contumacious. 4. Consequently, in view of above, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that needful in terms of aforesaid communication is done, expeditiously, preferably within a period of one week from today, failing which they would aggravate the contempt and petitioner would be at liberty to get the present petition revived, so that appropriate action in accordance with law is taken against the erring officials.
