By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has questioned the order of major penalty dated 18.10.2024. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner has alternative remedy of appeal under Rule 10 of the U.P. Government Servant (Discipline and Appeal) Rule, 1999. 4. Counsel for petitioner could not dispute the same. 5. Accordingly I refuse to grant indulgence in the matter. However, it is provided that in the event petitioner prefers an appeal within a period of four weeks from today the said appeal shall be disposed of within further period of two months on merits by means of a reasoned and speaking order. 6.
