1. Heard.
2. Through the medium of the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has sought the issuance of a writ/direction for expeditious disposal of the criminal case bearing FIR No. 46/2019 dated 17.08.2019 of P/S Bomai under Sections 302, 34, 201 IPC on the main ground that the case is pending disposal before the learned Trial Court since 24.02.2024 when out of 30 listed prosecution witnesses, only three witnesses came to be recorded so far at the trial.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that fundamental right to speedy trial of the case stands denied to the petitioner-accused on account of the ongoing sluggish pace of the trial in the case. Having regard to the relief sought for in this petition, the same is accordingly disposed of at this threshold stage with the direction to the learned Trial Court to hold an expeditious trial as per the relevant provisions of the Code/BNSS in respect of the case concerned for the early disposal of the same.
4. A copy of this order shall be forwarded to the learned Trial Court for compliance.
