(2) In this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to provide the land in which they are cultivating the crops and they are belongs to the Scheduled Caste Community, it is also submitted that they have been entitlement of Section 122 B(4F) of U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act 1950.” (3) Learned State Counsel submits that there is no such law, which provides grant of bhumidhari rights to encroachers upon government land. (4) Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that there is some government policy, which enables the State to regularise unauthorised occupation of persons belonging to weaker sections of the society. (5) If that is so, writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to petitioner to make an application claiming his right before the competent authority. If petitioner makes such application within two weeks from today, the competent authority shall examine his claim and take decision, as per law, within nine months thereafter.
