A KHANDAKAR,MISS. J GOGOI,MR P J DUTTA Advocate for the Respondent : MR. P N GOSWAMI, MR. J K GOSWAMI,MR. R R Gogoi,MR. D GOGOI BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 15.09.2025 Heard Mr. PJ Dutta, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. RR Gogoi, learned counsel for the respondent. This Contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the directions Page No.# 2/2 contained in the order dated 06.03.2024 passed in WP(C) No.1982 of 2023. By the said order, the Co-ordinate Bench had remanded the matter to the State Level Committee (SLC) to reconsider the case of the petitioner by applying Caluse-15 of the Office Memorandum dated 01.06.2015 in its next immediate sitting and pass appropriate order. Mr. RR Gogoi, learned counsel representing the respondent, has placed before the Court the minutes of the State Level Committee (SLC) meeting held on 06.06.2025, whereby the case of the writ petitioner was considered by the State Level Committee (SLC) and after a threadbare discussion, the claims of the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment was rejected on the ground of efflux of time as the condition of immediacy no longer exists as considerable time had elapsed since the death of the father of the writ petitioner and the proposal for compassionate appointment of the petitioner therefore stood rejected. A copy of the minutes of the State Level Committee (SLC) meeting held on 06.06.2025 is placed before the Court by the learned counsel for the respondents. In that view of the matter, taking into consideration that the directions contained in the order dated 06.03.2024 passed in WP(C) No.1982 of 2023 have been carried out and the order dated 06.06.2025 has been passed by the State Level Committee (SLC), the Contempt Petition stands closed. Notices issued, if any, stand recalled. A copy of the minutes of the State Level Committee (SLC) meeting held on 06.06.2025, placed before the Court, is kept on record. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
