SINGH, J ---------------------------------------------- Con.Case(C) No. 2419 of 2024 ---------------------------------------------- Dated this the 01st day of April, 2025 J U D G M E N T The present contempt case is filed alleging pursuant to the non compliance and willful disobedience of the direction of the judgment dated 14.12.2023 passed in WP(C).No.34199 of 2023 filed by the petitioner. This Court, while disposing of the said writ petition, has given the following directions in paragraph 4. “I have considered the submissions advanced. I find from the materials made available by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents that steps have already been taken to calculate and compute the amounts due to the petitioner herein. In that view of the matter, necessary directions can be issued to the respondents to expedite the proceedings and take the matter to its logical conclusion”. 2. In response to the notice issued in the present contempt petition, an affidavit of compliance has been filed by the respondent/contemnor. As per the affidavit, the entire amount due to the petitioner in respect of the Provident Fund, amounting to Rs.2,13,634/-, has been paid to the
2025:KER:29497 CON.CASE(C) NO. 2419 OF 2024 3 petitioner, which includes the interest at 6% granted by this Court. Paragraphs 4 and 5 of the said affidavit dated 28.03.2025, filed by Mr. Prakash C.V, Provident Fund Commissioner who is employed in the Travancore Devaswom Board, read as under:

As per the judgement dated 14.12.2023 in W.P (C) 34199/2023, this Hon'’ble Court directed the respondent to compute the benefits due to the petitioner and disburse the balance amount of provident fund payable to the petitioner after duly crediting the entire credits in respect of employee/employer contribution together with the amounts towards pay revision arrears and disburse the same within four months from the " date of order. 5. It is submitted that, the petitioner was retired on superannuation while he was working as Nadaswaram in Vaikom group. Devaswom accounts officer verified the provident fund accounts in detail. On the said verification, it was revealed that all the amounts credited to his accounts were disbursed to him with interest and his account was closed on 09/2019 after disbursing the final balance amount of 2,13,634/- “.
