(2025:JHHC:22422) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 2585 of 2025 Amrendra Kumar @ Amarender Singh @ Amrendra Kumar Roy @ Amrendra Kr. Rai, aged about 41 years, son of Sri Bhagwan Singh @ Bhagwan Roy, resident of Haider Ali Road, New Colony, Kokar, P.O.- Kokar, P.S.- Sadar, District- Ranchi, Jharkhand … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Surya Prakash, Advocate For the State : Mr. Anup Pawan Topno, A.P.P. For the Informant : Mr. Manoj Kr. Choubey, Advocate --- 03/07.08.2025 Heard the parties. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Sadar P.S. Case No. 50 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 75(2)/74 of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 8/12 of the POCSO Act, pending in the Court of learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-IV-cum-Special Judge, POCSO, Ranchi. The victim used to take tuition from the petitioner. On 27.01.2025, the petitioner asked the victim to stay in the class after all the students were gone and thereafter, he started to molest her, he also made indecent proposal to her but the victim somehow managed to escape from the clutches of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that wife of the petitioner has filed a case of assault against the father of the victim. Mr. Manoj Kr. Choubey, learned counsel for the informant has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. It was submitted that the wife of the petitioner has instituted a frivolous case against the father of the victim. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
