This writ petition has been filed for quashing of the show cause notice dated 3.7.2025 issued by the Additional District Magistrate, Hamirpur in Case No.D202507320000371 (State vs. Mukesh) under section 3 of U.P. Control of Goondas Act, 1970 (hereinafter referred to as the "Goondas Act"). 2. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that only cases have been mentioned whereas no details had been stated on the basis of which the notice had been sent. Learned counsel for the petitioner has relied upon a decision of this Court in Goverdhan vs. State of U.P. (Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No.12619 of 2023) for the quashing of the notice. 3. However, from the perusal of the notice, we find that detailed reasons had been given in the notice to which the petitioner had to reply. 4. We, therefore, provide that if the petitioner replies to the notice dated 3.7.2025 within a period of two weeks' from today then the Additional District Magistrate shall, without going into the question of delay etc, look into the reply of the petitioner and come to a proper conclusion within a period of two weeks thereafter, unless any order has already been passed. 5.
