Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGA for the State. 2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief: "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned Show Cause Notice dated 25.07.2025 passed by Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Fatehpur in Case No. 845/2025 (State vs. Sanjay Singh Sengar) under Section 3 Uttar Pradesh Control Of Goondas Act, 1970, Police Station Kotwali, District Fatehpur. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus staying the further proceedings of Show Cause Notice dated 25.07.2025 passed by Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Fatehpur in Case No. 845/2025 (State vs. Sanjay Singh Sengar) under Section 3 Uttar Pradesh Control Of Goondas Act, 1970, Police Station Kotwali, District Fatehpur during the pendency of present writ petition before this Hon'ble Court; (iii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to ensure the safety of the petitioner." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the notice which is under challenge is a vague notice and that absolutely no reasons had been given as to why the notice has been issued. 4. Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh, learned AGA, however, submits that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the notice, he upon the receipt of the notice could have filed a reply to it. We do find substance in the submission made by the learned AGA. 5. The petitioner may file a reply within a period of two weeks and if as and when the notice has been received by the respondent no.3, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Fatehpur, the same shall be dealt with and a decision shall be arrived at within a period of one month, thereafter. 6. With these directions, the present petition stands disposed of, without going into the question of limitation. Order Date :- 23.8.2025 S.Chaurasia (Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal,J.) (Siddhartha Varma,J.)
