The present petition has been filed with the prayer to quash the impugned order dated 04.08.2025 passed by District Basic Education Officer, Prayagraj vide which the application for maternity leave of 180 days' of the petitioner has been rejected and a further prayer to direct the respondents to grant maternity leave of 180 days' with effect from 14.04.2025 to 10.10.2025 to the petitioner forthwith. At the very outset, learned counsel for respondent-B.S.A. submits that the authorities are reconsidering the matter. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the order dated 04.08.2025 passed by District Basic Education Officer, Prayagraj is quashed. The respondent no.3-District Basic Education Officer, District- Prayagraj is directed to decide the matter afresh, ignoring the delay, if any, on merits, strictly in accordance with law, by means of reasoned and speaking order, after giving fresh notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, preferably within a period of 15 days from today, if there is no legal impediment.
