Mr. Vipul Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. M.S. Bisht, Brief Holder for the State. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that she had applied for OBC caste certificate on 20.06.2025. It has yet not been provided to her. She proposes to contest the Panchayat Election, for which nomination would close on 05.07.2025. Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that directions may be issued to the respondent no.2, Tehsildar Kichha, District Udham Singh Nagar, to issue her caste certificate so that she may file her nomination. Learned State Counsel gives a statement that it would be decided prior to the date of nomination. The Court takes on record the statement given by learned State Counsel. The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.2, Tehsildar Kichha, District Udham Singh Nagar, to decide the application of the petitioner, which is Annexure No.5 to the writ petition, in accordance with law, prior to the date of nomination. The decision taken shall be communicated to the petitioner, immediately after such decision is taken.
