JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA) The petitioners/sugarcane growers are at the doors of this Court seeking the following prayers: A. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representations vide ANNEXURE-F,F1,F2,F3 and F4 of the Petitioners and grant of subsidies to the Petitioners for the purchase of the Sugarcane Harvester Machine. B. Issue any other Writ or directions to the Respondent Authorities to include the Petitioners under the present scheme for subsidy as per their date of purchase of the implements. C. Issue any other orders/directions as deemed fit by this Hon’ble court. D. Allow the Petitioners to amend the petition, urge additional grounds at the time of adjudicating the matter, meeting the ends of justice and equity. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:15599 WP No. 106217 of 2025 2. Heard Sri.Santosh Biranagi, learned counsel for petitioners and Sri.T.Hanumareddy, learned AGA for the respondents. 3. It is the case of the petitioners that the Government introduced a scheme for providing subsidies to sugarcane harvesters. The petitioners as observed hereinabove are all sugarcane growers and harvested sugarcane for the years 2020-2023. Claiming subsidy for such harvest, the petitioner submitted representations to the respondent-State in the year 2025. Non-consideration of those representations, has driven these petitioners to this Court in the subject petition. 4. The learned HCGP would on instruction submit that if reasonable time is granted, the representations of the petitioners would be considered an appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law. 5. In the light of the said submission, without going into the merit of the claim of petitioners, I deem it appropriate to direct the respondent-State to consider the representations - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:15599 WP No. 106217 of 2025 submitted for the purpose of getting benefit under the scheme and pass necessary orders in accordance with law within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
