Rabha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Ms. A. Gayan, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. M. Talukdar for the respondent no. 1/claimant. By filing this application, the applicant prays for extension of time to Page No.# 3/3 comply the order dated 19.06.2024, passed in I.A.(Civil) No. 1720/2024 in Mac Appeal No. 160/2024. It is submitted that this Court by an order dated 19.06.2024 passed in I.A. (Civil) No. 1720/2024 has directed the applicant to pay 50% of the total awarded amount before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 days from the date of the said order and although the case has been taken up by the Ministry of Home Affairs for allotment of additional funds, the same is still awaited and therefore, prays for extension of time to comply with the order for another 60 days. The learned counsel for the opposite parties submits that this application was filed on 28.02.2025 and almost 11/2 months has already passed since then. However, he has no objection for extension of period provided if the respondent is ready to pay within these 30 days from today. In view of the above, the prayer for extension for compliance of the order is allowed. However, the respondent shall ensure to pay 50% of the total awarded amount before the Registry of this Court as directed within 30 days from today.
