THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: ORAL ORDER (PER: THE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ) 1. The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a Writ of Certiorari or any other order or direction, quashing the impugned rejection slip dated nil issued by the Respondent No.8 rejecting the candidature of petitioner bearing roll no.9001021936 from recruitment process to the Post of Constable (GD) in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) as per Annexure- D. b. Consequentially a Writ of Mandamus or any other order or direction, directing the Respondents herein to continue the petitioner in the recruitment process to the Post of Constable (GD) in Central Reserve Police Force - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:12013 WP No. 106797 of 2025 (CRPF) as per Annexure-A, protecting the seniority of the petitioner with batch he is participating in the said recruitment process by re-conducting the Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the Post Of Constable (GD) in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). c. Issue any other appropriate Writ or order or direction which deems fit to grant by this Hon’ble Court in the facts and circumstances of the case. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that on an earlier occasion in the year 2024, he was declared qualified in all respects, including height, which was recorded as 170 centimetres; however, in the recruitment conducted in the year 2025, his height was recorded as 169.2 centimetres, thereby disqualifying him. 3. There cannot be two different measurements of height of the same person for two different years. Accordingly, this court finds it just and proper to direct a fresh measurement of the petitioner’s height to resolve the discrepancy. Hence, the writ petitioner is disposed of with the following directions: - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:12013 WP No. 106797 of 2025 i. Petitioner is directed to appear before respondent no. 9 for a fresh measurement of his height, to be conducted on 22.09.2025, at 10:30 a.m. ii. Respondent no.9 shall submit the report of the fresh measurement to respondent no.7 within three days of such measurement. iii. Respondent no. 7 is directed to act on the said report and take necessary action accordingly. iv.
