Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned AGA for the State. 2. This application under Section 528 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita ( hereinafter referred to as 'BNSS') has been filed for quashing of entire proceedings, including charge-sheet dated 12.12.2016 as well as cognizance / summoning order dated 18.05.2017, of Case No. 24577 of 2017, arising out of N.C.R. No.324 of 2016, under Sections 323, 504, 427 IPC, P.S.- Chakeri, District- Kanpur Nagar, pending in the concerned court. 3. After arguing at some length, learned counsel for the applicant submitted that the prayer made above is not being pressed and that applicant is facing the aforesaid proceedings since the year 2017 but no substantial progress has been made so far and thus, a direction may be made to the trial Court concerned to decide the said case expeditiously in accordance with law. 4. In view of aforesaid, the concerned trial Court is directed to expedite the proceedings of the aforesaid case and to conclude the same as early as possible preferably within a period of one year. 5.
