1. The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent-Corporation to release interest @ 9 % per annum on the delayed payment of leave encashment amount of Rs.3,72,080/- to the petitioner, who is the widow of the deceased employee-Late Sh. Sukhpal Singh, from the date of his demise till the date of actual payment.

3. Mr. Manbir Singh Batth, Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and waives service.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that the petitioner shall be satisfied if, at this stage, directions are issued to the respondent to decide representation of the petitioner dated 03.06.2025 (Annexure P-4) within a time bound manner.

6. In view thereof and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent to decide the representation dated 03.06.2025 (Annexure P-4), within a period of 08 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this
order.
7. Needless to say that the representation shall be decided after giving due notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and by passing a speaking/reasoned order.
