The present petition has been filed praying for the following reliefs :- "(i) Pass an order issuing a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents for early conduct of back paper in the month of August or September, 2025 for the petitioner or alternatively conduct supplementary examination for the petitioner for the subject tiled as Family Law-I (5002) and Jurisprudence-I (5005). (ii) Pass an order issuing a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents for evaluation of the answer sheets of the 'back paper' of the petitioner. (iii) Pass an order issuing a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the marksheet for Semester-X (Semester-10) of the petitioner." 2. The petitioner in person appeared and submitted that the University may be directed to conduct back paper examination of the petitioner in the month of August or September, 2025. He has also submitted that the University may conduct supplementary examination in the subjects of Family Law and Jurisprudence. 3. On the query made by the Court, under which provision such direction as sought by the petitioner can be issued to the University to conduct the examination in the month of September, 2025. It is submitted that back paper examination is scheduled to be conducted in the month of December, 2025. 4. Heard the petitioner in person and perused the contents made in the writ petition and the material available on record. 5. The petitioner has not cleared examination of the subjects i.e. Family Law and Jurisprudence and applied for rechecking of the marks in law subjects. He has also not obtained marks and thereafter he has applied for examinations of back paper which is scheduled to be conducted in the month of December, 2025. 6. The main prayer and contention of the petitioner is that back paper examination may be conducted prior to the month of December, 2025 which is scheduled for examination of back paper of law subjects. 7. I do not find any ground to exercise extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of mandamus as prayed by the petitioner. The instant petition is nothing but a gross misuse of the process of the law. 8. The writ petition is devoid of merit and is, accordingly, dismissed.
