In the instant contempt petition, the petitioners have alleged non- compliance of order dated 25th November, 2012, passed in SWP No. 2300/2012 in terms whereof while disposing of the writ petition, the respondents came to be directed to accord consideration to the claim of the petitioners on its merits for their engagement as casual labourers on need basis after proper verification in accordance with the rules, occupying the field. 2. Compliance report has been filed by the respondents wherein inter-alia it has been stated that the case of the petitioners came to be examined in light of the relevant records, rules and accordingly the claim of the petitioners was rejected being devoid of any merit and consideration order thereof was also passed on 17th March, 2021. 3. Heard and perused the record. 4. Perusal of the record in general and the compliance report filed by the respondents including the consideration order dated 17th March, 2021, reveals that the respondents seemingly have considered the case of the petitioners in line with the orders passed by this Court, thus necessitating the recalling of the contempt notice and closure of proceedings thereof. Ordered accordingly. However, the closure of the contempt proceedings shall not come in the way of the petitioners to seek appropriate remedy against the consideration order if so advised and if the cause survives.
