In the present writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, prayer is made for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to regularize and promote the petitioner to the post of Executive Engineer (Electrical) in the respondent-Corporation with all consequential benefits. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.2 to decide his legal notice dated 28.06.2025 (Annexure P-7), in a time bound manner. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Ms. Shruti, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1 and Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondent No. 2 and they do not oppose the prayer, as made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 28.06.2025 (Annexure P-7), within a period of 08 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 6. Needless to say that the legal notice shall be decided in adherence with the principles of natural justice by giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and by passing a detailed and reasoned speaking order. 7. Disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
