Advocate (crl.side) ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking transfer of the investigation in Crime No.78 of 2024 from the 2nd respondent to the CBCID. 2. According to the petitioner, on 09.02.2024, while she was travelling in a private busfrom Tambaram to Karunguzhi, around 22.7 sovereigns of her jewells were stolen. In this regard, she lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent police, and an FIR came to be registered in Crime No.78 of 2024 on
17.02.2024. However, no further progress has been made in the investigation so far. Hence, the present petition. 3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent. 4. CRL OP No. 22503 of 2025 a complaint before the respondent police on 14.02.2024 and an FIR in Crime No.78 of 2024 has been registered on 17.02.2024. 5. At the outset, this court is of the view that since the case relates to jewel theft in a public place, deadline cannot be fixed for completion of the investigation. The investigation has to proceed logically, in accordance with proper procedure, and this court cannot prescribe any specific time frame. Therefore, mere transfer of the investigation will not serve any useful purpose. Accordingly, the 2ndrespondent is directed to conduct the investigation properly and take it to its logical conclusion. 6.
