Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 3. The learned Senior counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, petitioner, being the lessee of the subject premises, had constructed a building in the said premises, for which, he is regularly paying the property tax and receipt was also issued in his name. Under these circumstances, the petitioner had paid their property tax for the 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.30260 of 2025 period from 2021-2022 to 2024-25, for which, no receipt was issued by the respondent in the name of the petitioner. Hence, a representation was filed by the petitioner for issuance of property tax receipt in his name. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this writ petition. 4. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would request this Court to pass appropriate orders directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner. 5. Heard the learned Senior counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 6. In the case on hand, petitioner, being the lessee of the subject premises, had constructed a building in the said premises, for which, he is regularly paying the property tax and receipt was also issued in his 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.30260 of 2025 name. Under these circumstances, all of a sudden, though the petitioner had paid their property tax for the period from 2021-2022 to 2024-25, no receipt was issued by the respondent in the name of the petitioner. Hence, a representation was filed by the petitioner for issuance of property tax receipt in his name. However, the said representation was not considered by the 2nd respondent till date. 7. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2025 and issue the property tax receipt, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 8. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
