Hon'ble Prakash Padia,J. 1. Fire Arm License of the petitioner was cancelled on the basis of pending of two criminal cases against the petitioner being Case Crime No. 24 of 2000 and 25 of 2000. In both the aforesaid cases the petitioner was acquitted by the Court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chhibramau, Kannauj vide judgment and order dated 05.12.2023. 2. After the aforesaid judgment was delivered in his favour, he submitted a representation before the District Magistrate, Kannauj/ Respondent No.2 to release the aforesaid Fire Arm License. 3. It is argued that inspite of the same, till date no decision has been taken in the matter, hence the present writ petition. 4. On the other hand it is argued by the learned Standing Counsel that in case the petitioner will submit a fresh representation ventilating all his grievances before the Respondent No.2, District Magistrate, Kannauj, he will take a decision in the matter, expeditiously. 5. Heard counsel for the parties. 6. With the consent of the counsel for the parties and also in the interest of justice, the present writ petition is disposed of finally permitting the petitioner to submit a fresh representation ventilating all his grievances before the Respondent No.2, District Magistrate, Kannauj along-with the certified copy of this order within a period of three weeks from today. If it is so, the respondent No. 2 will take a decision in the matter within a period of two months thereafter.
