The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Bariyatu P.S. Case No.64 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)C/22(c) of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Latehar. On 24.10.2024 at about 9:50 P.M., Bariyatu police, raided the house of the petitioner and seized 64.81 Kgs. of cannabis from there. Quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of commercial quantity. It was submitted that petitioner has remained in custody for about 10 months. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
