(Oral) By way of present contempt petition, prayer has been made on behalf of the petitioner for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for their having willfully and intentionally disobeyed the directions contained in order/judgment dated 03.01.2025, rendered in CWP No.16431 of 2024, whereby Coordinate Bench of this Court, while disposing of the petition, directed the competent authority to decide the representation of the petitioner in light of averments made therein within a period of eight weeks. Since despite there being aforesaid direction, no steps, whatsoever, came to be taken at the behest of the respondents for doing the needful, petitioner has approached this Court in the instant proceedings. 2 2. Before notices could be issued to the respondents, Mr. Deepak Sharma, Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents, made available copy of order dated 09..04.2025, issued under the signatures of Managing Director, HRTC, Shimla, to state that decision has already been taken to enhance the DR/IR from the due date and arrears of the same shall be positively released within a period of seven days. 3. Having perused aforesaid communication, this Court finds force in the afore submission of Mr. Deepak Sharma, Advocate, and as such, there appears to be no justification to keep the present petition alive and accordingly, the same is closed. Ordered accordingly. However, respondents-contemnors are directed to do the needful in terms of judgment, alleged to have been violated, within a period of seven days, failing which he would aggravate the contempt and petitioner would be at liberty to get the present petition revived, so that appropriate action in accordance with law is taken against the erring officials.
