(2) Petitioner participated in a selection for the post of Professor (Pharmacology), held by Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board in the year 2020. Petitioner was declared ineligible for appointment as Professor (Pharmacology) on the ground that he could not submit the required publications, as per MCI-TEQ Norms, along with his application. Thus feeling aggrieved by rejection of his candidature vide order dated 26.9.2020, petitioner approached this Court by filing the present writ petition. (3) Coordinate Bench, vide order dated 19.10.2020, directed the selecting body to permit the petitioner to participate in the interview, which was scheduled to be held on 20.10.2020. (4) Result of the selection is placed before us in a sealed cover, in terms of 2025:UHC:6072-DB the order dated 11.1.2021. Sealed cover containing the result of the selection was opened in presence of learned Counsel for the parties. Perusal of the result reveals that as many as five candidates including the petitioner were called for interview. As per the result, Sanjay Gaur was the highest scorer in the selection process with 83 out of 100 marks; Rangeel Singh Raina scored second highest marks with 71 marks; Aditi Chauhan scored third highest marks i.e. 57 out of 100 marks, while petitioner and another candidate, namely, Venu Gopala Rao Konda scored 45 per cent marks each and were placed at serial number 4 and 5 respectively. (5) From perusal of the result, it is revealed that even if petitioner is given 20 marks for the remaining paper publication, then also his score would be less than the score of the candidates, who were placed at serial no. 1 and 2 and were selected and appointed as Professor (Pharmacology). (6) In such view of the matter, there is no scope for interference in the matter. Writ petition fails and is dismissed. (7) Result is resealed and sent back to Registrar General.
