The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioner praying for a direction upon the respondent-authorities to consider his case for promotion to the post of Fire Station Officer and to give the benefit of MACP to the petitioner who is continuously working in the department.
2. The petitioner has further prayed for a direction upon the respondents to pay the salary to him for the post of Fire Station Officer and all other benefits which will accrue to him.

Learned counsel submits that though the petitioner is entitled for the benefits as claimed by him in the instant writ application but the same has yet not been extended to him.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that since counter affidavit has not been filed as such the petitioner may be directed to approach the 2nd Respondent to look into the matter.
5. Having regard to the fair submission made by learned counsel for

the parties, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of by directing the 2nd Respondent to treat this writ application as representation and take a decision in the matter in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulation by passing a reasoned and speaking order. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to serve the copy of this writ application to the 2nd Respondent at the earliest so that his grievance can be redressed.
