THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 1943 OF 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking bail, in Crime No.113 of 2024 of K.D.Peta, Police Station, Anakapalle District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 04.10.2024, the accused were found in possession of 181 kgs of ganja at A.K.Puram village, Alluri Park, Golugonda Mandal. The contraband, along with other material, was seized under cover of mediators report. The accused nos.2 to 5 were arrested and got remanded to judicial custody. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that investigation is not yet completed and some more witnesses are to be examined and further submitted that huge quantity of contraband was found in possession of the accused and prays to dismiss the Criminal Petition. 6. A perusal of the material available on record goes to show that the petitioner/A1 was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.11.2024. Police, on credible information, seized 181 kgs of ganja, which is a huge 2 quantity, from the possession of the petitioner and other accused. As stated by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that the investigation is at nascent stage. This Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. 7.
