The mother of the convict prisoner-Prasanth [LCT No.9238 (PID No.446377)], S/o.Murugan aged 26 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, has filed this writ petition challenging the impugned order dated 12.02.2025, by which the request for Ordinary Leave to the convict was rejected for the reason that the convict had not completed three years of imprisonment as per Rule 22(1)(c) of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982. 2. We find no reason to interfere in the said order as admittedly, the convict had not completed three years of imprisonment as on 12.02.2025. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP Crl. No. 1167 of 2025 __________ 3. According to Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Crl. Side), the convict has sent a fresh representation on 20.05.2026 and the same is under active consideration. His submission is recorded. 4. As stated above, since the impugned order cannot be faulted, we see no reason to interfere with the same and the Writ Petition is dismissed.
