The petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.8535 of 2018 before the II Metropolitan Magistrate, Chennai for the offences under sections 147, 148, 342, 448, 294[b], 324, 363, 392 and 506[2] read with 149 of IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that though trial has commenced in this case, so far P.W1 and P.W.2 alone have been examined and the trial continues to remain stagnant despite issuance of repeated summons to the witnesses. Hence, he has filed the present petition to expedite the disposal of the above case. 3.
