The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter alia with the following prayer:- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Prescribed Authority (Ceiling)/Chief Revenue Officer, Deoria, Respondent No. 2 to decide the application of the petitioners dated 15.07.2024 expeditiously and enter the name of the petitioners in main column of Gata No. 70 and 148 (Fasli years 1430 to 1435) situated at Mauja Mathia Ratti Tappa Tarkulwa, Tehsil and District Deoria place of ceiling in pursuance of the order dated 12.05.2023. Prescribed Authority (Ceiling)/Chief Revenue Officer, Deoria." 2. Learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of State was directed to seek the instructions in the matter. On the basis of oral instructions it is argued by him that the respondent no. 2 will take the decision in the application of the petitioner dated 15.07.2024 expeditiously. 3. Heard counsel for the parties and perused the record. 4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of finally directing the respondent no. 2/Prescribed Authority (Ceiling)/Chief Revenue Officer, Deoria to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner dated 15.07.2024, strictly in accordance with law most Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Anup Kumar Srivastava Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C.
